HI ALL just been on my local patch. seen what i think was a redpoll

at first i thought it was a chafinch. but took another look. as you have to,
noticed the redish breast and the red spot just above the eyes on the forehead..
there were 4 birds 2 of them had dark looking spots in ther foreheads.
i presume there were either females or young males.
they were in siver birch munching on the katkins....
just looked through my books and nothing says about the dark spot.
i live in north east wales do redpoll get over this far ?
so ppl what you think.
