I am going to Derwent valley soon in the peak district to see the gossies, I went there a couple of days ago and saw some crossbils |:x|, has anyone else ever been there?

Hi Flabby Guy,

Haven't been to look myself but suggest a reply by PM is probably appropriate given the species and the sorry reputation of the area. See http://www.rspb.org.uk/ourwork/conservation/projects/peakmalpractice.asp.

Best of Luck with it - I tried several North Yorks potential areas without luck and so gave up and went to the Forest of Dean, where they are like sparrows! Could be like that here if they were left alone.
