Bat id (Cumbria, UK)

Hello

I found this bat crawling across my bedroom carpet earlier today. I've absolutely no idea how it got there!

Would it be a Pipistrelle?

Thanks

Paul

Yes, I would say Common Pipistrelle.

It has most likely flown through an open window by accident. Probably exhuasted/starving/dehydrated, hence crawling across the carpet. If you find another, you may have a roost somewhere in your house.
You have probably let it go by now,, but if anyone else finds one (UK), please get in touch with Bat Conservation Trust & seek further advice on the best way to care & release. They may even send someone round.
