Cape May & New York June 2012.
A trip that came from nowhere really as I had no real desire to go to the States but having spoke to Pete Dunne I realised he could sell ice to Eskimos.
Two very different places that made for a very enjoyable, and relaxing birding place where I unusually allowed myself to be a tourist when in New York. Almost finished just need to add a few photos and some text about Central Park and the Ramble in particular. The place we stayed in Cape May I can recommend highly. Please feel free to give your opinion on the overall report as I found info a bit scarce particularly outside the usual migration times. http://www.wildrossendale.co.uk/Cape...port-2012.html

I really enjoyed reading this, particularly as I was in Cape May the previous week. I also found it to be an excellent destination for birding, which I'm sure could be done at most times of the year (not just during migration time), and it's dead easy to do.
The warning about ticks is very true though. Throughout my time there I ended up with seven of the little critters on me, and was finding them crawling inside the car for days. Last edited by Richard Powell : Tuesday 14th August 2012 at 20:58. |

Hi Richard
Thanks for the feedback. I had a peruse around your new blog and I also enjoyed your take on Cape May. Whilst we had similar experience of Ticks we were lucky enough to not see anything like the midge troubles. Bald Eagle pictures are ace. Thanks again. May see you there in Autumn....
