Which Egret? (1 Viewer)

Pic attached is of a Little egret juve. Clinches it as Little egret for me.

The more I see respected birders come out on opposite sides on this one, the more I start thinking that the hybrid options just might be right.

There's no way at all that this could be Cattle Egret. The bill shape and colour are both quite wrong (sorry Andy).

Escaped (given that they go nowhere near the UK) Intermediate held me for a second or two - because in the autumn where I am it's easy to mistake these depending on posture and view line - but the bill and gape line are wrong for Intermediate, also.

It's a Little Egret. Everything fits. The feet are muddy - and some yellow can anyway be seen through the mud on the flying photo.

I'd cautiously agree. FWIW, Little Egret was my first impression. Though my experience with Cattle Egret is limited and I'll defer to the superior knowledge of others.
