Northern Waterthrush or Maybe not:)

I have to say that seeing a new species in my garden is very exciting. Then comes the task of hunting down the species. It took me a while but it appears to be a Northern Waterthrush. I did come across an image here in the forums that looked very similar but the one at my feeder was larger. He is a little big for my finch feeder but he or she manages.

UPdate: I was advised by Stonechat below it is a female red-winged blackbird.

Wow...I'm shocked. It looks sooo different from the male. Thank you for the heads up. I have a lot to learn.

Funny though, I had a male red-winged blackbird yesterday at the feeder. First I had seen.

Thanks again, glad I joined the forums:)

Great to have you here, Sarmiento :) Welcome from this side of the pond!
I like those birds, though many people over there don´t.
May I ask from which part of Canada you are? Visited Ontario and Quebec a couple times, great country you´re in!

Regards

I'm in Ottawa Ontario but originally from Newfoundland. Highly recommend a visit to Newfoundland. Its always good to enjoy a slice of heaven:)
