Hi, I am visiting Mallorca on the 25th April for a week and I am looking for options for someone who can act as a bird guide for day trip/s when I am there. So far I haven't been able to uncover any guides. Please could someone give me some help to find a local guide. Many thanks, Paul

Hi

We have been to Mallorca numerous times and always just walked around and did our brding and managed to find many species. Which part of Mallorca are you staying at as there may be some trip reports on here for that part of the island....

We always stayed in Cala Bona area...here is a trip report of what we found a few years ago

There is a book that came out in the last year that may be of help which is available

A place not to miss out is the S'Albufera nature park which is at the Playa du Muro end of Alcudia http://www.birdinginspain.com/sites...g-in-the-albufera-natural-park-itinerary.html

Hi, Thanks for the advice, staying a couple of nights in Palma and then four nights in Alcudia. Therefore, will definitely head for S'Albufera as you recommend. I'll have a look at your report next and get an idea of the species you saw when you were in Mallorca, also will look for some other trip reports.Cheers, Paul

May I recommend an early morning visit to S'Albufera. It shall be more quiet and the sun shall not be too hot,as to make things uncomfortable. The Reserve is also over a large area and maybe 2 shorter tips, might be the best way to see it all.Good Luck.
