With spring approaching has anyone got any suggestions for the best sights for black grouse leks?

The Rspb are running trips near wrexham, this would nearest to me as I live in Bedford, any other popular sites?

As you mentioned, the World's End / Ruabon Mt. lek behind Llangollen would be the nearest ( and possibly the easiest / most guaranteed ) site to you. I was up there yesterday and there were 3 stunning males checking it out, but actual display won't start until next month. As it requires an early start it would leave you time to nip over to Anglesey for Chough and Auks. :t:
