I believe you are right with tha above. Hawai'ian uses the second shortest alphabet in the world - 12 letters plus ' The apostrophe acts as a glottal stop (Hawaii, should, I believe be written as Hawai'i)

Pinching Karen's quiz ... if Hawai'ian is the 2nd shortest alphabet, what is the shortest and what is it ???? I'll give you a clue, it has 11 letters ......
 
the shortest alphabet is my vocabulary...lol!

hmmm, must be a tribe from Africa... still primitive... just a guess.
 
Well Karwin is close but not precise enough ....

(I believe the official language of the Solomon Islands is English although it is only spoken by a small percentage of inhabitants and Pijin is the `lingua franca')
