Insect for I/D (1 Viewer)

Scorpion fly. Order Mecoptera. Three in UK, most common, which I think yours is: Panopra Germanica. Can't quiet make out the "sting" on the tail to see if male or female, but doesn't looked curved upwards like a scorion, so suspect female. Sting is just for show and totally harmless.
