Surely American Crow for #1? Just doesn't have the imposing character of a Raven.

Agree with rkj on #s 2-5. For the corvid, my first impression was American Crow. However, I can't envision such a huge bill on an American Crow! Still undecided, but perhaps leaning towards Common Raven.

Remember the bill is slightly open, with holding that food - that makes it look stouter, and one then thinks it is also longer in proportion, by imagining the tip to continue far into the food

Crow for me. Though I've never seen one with so much brown in the wings.

Looking again, I believe American Crow is correct for the first bird.
