help identifying this bird in hartford, ct
i can't find anything that matches this. a friend saw it, and it has a 6-12" wingspan.

the bird pictured is a Northern Mockingbird. This is a characteristic pose most likely associated with foraging (startling prey).

thanks so much. i wondered if that's what it was, but the angle threw me off, not being able to see the beak shape.
