Purple Sandpipers in Sussex (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
Anyone in Sussex around the winter period looking for Purple Sandpipers, looking at the Newhaven east pier almost guarantees a sighting. To get there parking is at Tide Mills, TQ 46334 00523 or nearest postcode BN25 2RU. Then walk along Mill Drove towards the ocean and once you reach the shingle beach turn right and the pier will be straight ahead. I visited just before the New Year and saw twelve within a few metres on the concrete beams projecting out of the pier. They had been pushed up from the struts below by the high tide, so my advice would definitely be to visit during high tide to get the best views.
