My son and I found this snake in april as a roadkill.In mixed agricultural area with olive/orange groves etc.We'd love to know what it is?Can anyone help?

I can't help with ID but if you hadn't said it was roadkill I'd never have known - well set up!

juvi Montpellier snake one of Spain's 5 venomous snakes they can grow to 6ft and are rear fanged, great picture there lovely looking snakes
 
It certainly looks like a Montpelier snake. The Montpelier is Spain's biggest, most of the others being less than 1 metre. In November 2015 there was a report in the local newspapers that a 3.5 metre Montpelier had been run over and killed near Los Montesinos (not far from Torremolinos), they are a protected species.
