Yesterday evening I biked in Amsterdam. I saw juv grey Heron on a lawn in streetlights. It walked slowly bend forwards and peeked intensely into the grass. It looked as it was looking for earthworms.

Is it possible?

I don't know for sure, but I would say it's very likely. I often see Grey Herons standing in fields, especially at this time of year. They seem to eat just about anything that moves.

Often the Grey Herons stalking stubble fields are hunting small rodents & very effective they are at it too! They probably will take large worms.
Often see Common Buzzard hunting worms > sideways shuffling gait as they lope from one worm cast to another. Worms are also taken by Tawny Owls.
