Hi Everyone

My ID skills are still pretty basic and was wondering what this bird is. The photo isn't great as I was shooting through a window from quite a distance. I've seen this bird up high in a tree/hedge for a few days in a row. Is it a thrush of some kind?

Any help appreciated.

Yes. It's a Fieldfare Turdus pilaris. Not a completely unexpected sight at this time of year but a nice bird nevertheless.

Cheers,

Many Thanks

Many thanks for the replies folks. Fieldfare huh, I'll confess, I've never even heard of it. The locals around these parts call them Felts but I couldn't find the term Felt relating to birds on the net at all (guess it's a very local thing lol).

Thanks again

Clarke
