Starlings (1 Viewer)

I have put Nuts and other seed out but the Starlings take over and smaller birds don't stand a chance. In fact very few of the smaller birds come now. Is there anything I can do.

I used to feed the starlings but they made a lot of mess which upset my neighbour. I stopped putting out fat and now only feed sunflower hearts which I find the starlings don't eat.

Our starlings come for suet pellets and mealworms on trays, and to a suet candle that they can perch on, but don't touch the tube feeders. Nothing comes for nuts in my garden and I have stopped putting them out.

Do you feed seed mixed with mealworms or suet ? They will empty a hanging seed feeder to get at something they particularly like? They never touch my hanging feeders with just sunflower hearts.
