Seen at the Steinhoster Becken this morning:

92 Black Woodpecker
93 Australian Shelduck 829th Lifer
94 Wood Sandpiper
95 European Goldfinch
96 Eurasian Oystercatcher

A second Bar-headed Goose turned up too, so with the over-wintering one already here, we might see them breed if they are of the opposite sex
The Australian Shelduck is obviously an escape, but it must have travelled a bit as all "domestic" birds are indoors due to avian flu. An escapee is most likely, therefore from further afield. The have been no reports of any missing from zoos etc either.

Had a nice visit to the Palmengarten in Frankfurt today, seeing 20+ birds and a new lifer - three Eurasian Treecreepers.

100 Ruddy Shelduck double entry

I noticed I had Ruddy Shelduck in January already, so it's back to 99
