Hi I'm new here , I have a quick question, I have this little visitor that's lost his/her way , any info on feeding would be greatly appreciated. I live in the Fraser valley in b.c. He arrives every morning and cries until the evening to no avail. Will he carry on his journey ( been 2 weeks now) he's very handsome, but lonely :( any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to BirdForum!

I am not totally certain, but I think that might be a blue jay? I think they eat acorns, berries and seeds and will eat peanuts in a garden.

Hopefully someone from your side of the pond will be along and able to give you more help.

It is a Blue Jay, an unusual visitor to BC. They love sunflower seeds, and will readily eat them and peanuts as well. They normally wander in the winter if they can't find enough food, but usually in small flocks. He might just decide to spend the winter if you put out bird seed, or he might move on looking for the rest of his gang.

Welcome to the Forum. Your Blue Jay is likely to stay the winter. It's lost, yes, but otherwise it's like the Steller's Jays that you probably have at your feeder. So it should survive rather well.
