Yep, it was!
looking at the sandpiper i thought of little stint, but couldnt convince myself to say it is one...especially about that one I have to ask.
Harry, what did make you sure it is one?
 
A marginally better pic of the blurfinch. I'll take a break for a bit but might dig out some old tapes again sometime.

Hi all,
Joern:by simple deduction,I knew that the previous guesses of Dunlin and Semi-P Sand were both incorrect(based on how many each entrant had guessed correctly at that point),so I presumed it was a Little Stint!Also worked out the Monty's that way,but knew the first three without recourse to such tactics!
Brian: Blurfinch?Would that be Fringilla albarnii...?;)
