OK, so who saw the day-old Mandarin ducklings leaving the safety of their tree-hole nest to plunge 30 feet down onto the forest floor to follow their mother to the safety of the nearest pool?

Fantastic footage in this wonderful program which never ceases to amaze. Sometimes a little gory but that's what Nature is all about.

Well done BBC, makes Sunday evening viewing something to look forward to.

Last nights episode was one of the best .The photography is sensational. Also so is the prog on BBBC at 6pm,excellent bird coverage, very well presented by Chris Packham.

In last weeks episode there was a shot with thousands of shearwaters sat on the sea and humpback whales breaching all over the place, somewhere near the Aleutian Islands (I think), question is ...where exactly and is it possible for us mere mortals to visit? It was an amazing spectacle, a figure of 18million seabirds was quoted, wouldn't mind spending a day or two counting them!
Here's living in hope of a lottery win.
