I'd imagine from the angle of the pic and the croc that it was being baited from a tourist boat. Thoroughly irresponsible, unwise and produces wholly unnatural photos. Still, I expect dumb ockers and other tabloid-reader-level sensation-seeking tourists enjoy it.

At least it gives somebody in Australia a vested interest in not hunting them to extinction.

Just above him there was a pork chop being dangled by a rope, we were no more than 4 yards away in a boat about as big as the crock...
