visiting upton warren on Monday. can anyone point me in the right direction for some bird photography. which are the best hides for kingfisher and small birds.
many thanks
Some good sightings there John; the best autumn for many a year for Pintail. I wonder if the various sightings of Yellow-legged Gull over the last few weeks relate to the same individual?
PS What did a week on Scilly yield?
One of the quieter years with Blyths, Richards, Barred, RBFlys, Yellow-broweds, Firecrests, Ring Ouzels, Snow Buns, Short-toed Lark, Great Skuas, Balearic & Sooty Shearwaters. Cyprus Carpet was a lifer. Cracking weather.
Massive thanks to Andy aka Spoonbill finder for driving and Bob and phil for a great day. 2 more lifers today
Eastern Crowned Warbler (Phylloscopus coronatus)
rough legged buzzard (Buteo lagopus )
Old hat rarity 8-P
But some would consider it to be more fashionable than say White's Thrush.8-P

Is the shot Old Town Bay with Nowhere in the background? Was the quarry the Blyth's Pipit?
Struggling with the other photo - is it Periglis?
