Kutch Birding - 30th December 2005 to 2nd January 2006

Kutch Birding - 30th December 2005 to 2nd January 2006

Published by Arpit Deomurari (deomurari AT gmail.com)

Participants: Arpit Deomurari (Birding Guide), David Cooper (UK) and Brenda Kay (UK)

I was with David Cooper (UK) and Brenda Kay (UK) for birdwatching in the Kutch region as a birding guide from 30 th Dec to 2nd January.

We birded Naliya Done, Lala, Soneri Hills, Chari Dhandh and other areas in the Kutch.

Some of the best sightings included Stolizca's Bushchat, White-naped Tit, Grey Hypocolius, Rock Bush Quail, Great Knot, and Heuglin's Gull.

There were 3 sightings of White-naped Tit, very friendly in nature, giving me and David enough time to get pictures and video. Stolizca's Bushchat also gave us a very good sighting.

Following are the species sighted on this trip. We missed Great Indian Bustard in the Kutch.
