I've seen about 33 of those, which when compared with jacamar's total shows (i think) which part of the world taxonomists started classifying first.

Does anyone know why some genera contain species with tautonymous names and some do not?? (genuine question there, not a quiz!)

having said that, hoary-headed grebe is the first one on the list that i've seen.

Does anyone have an answer for my question though??
