Ringed Herring gull,South Wales (1 Viewer)

I took the attached pic above my back garden this morning.It seems to have an unusually large ring attached.Does anyone recognise it?

Certainly not a Common Gull, Ben - look at that bill - red gon spot, underwing and structure all wrong for common gull. Looks fine for Herring Gull to me although difficult angle admittedly without full wing visible.
 
Well.. yes.. this Herring sure did look down kindly..

But I see the spot on the bill.. so Herring it is...
