Wildfowl Artists (1 Viewer)

John Marshall

Well-known member
For over sixty years I have been interested in Wildfowl Art
I am listing below certain artists over this period which I
consider - Please bear in mind this is only my opinion - which
have come out on top in this specialist field.

I look forward to hearing the views of other Forum members on
this highly debateable issue of which I have had numerous
friendly discussions with wildfowl birders, wildfowlers, and
artists themselves.

Past masters:- Sir Peter Scott (Probably the best)
C.F. Tunnicliffe
Hugh Monaghan

Current artists:- Julian Novoroll
Martin Ridley
Ian Phipps

Are there any websites that show their work? Scott and Tunnicliffe I know, but the others are new to me.

Agree about Martin Ridley, his wildfowl stuff is quite stunning
I have a print of his "Pinkfeet at a frozen puddle" All visitors
to my place consider it the tops!

Regards John "Wildgoose"
