Hello there everyone
The attached shots belong to a Mantis and its habitat, seems to be specialist to Steppes.
It was hide into a Artemisia siberi shrub,

location: Iran, Fars, Dehbid. Altitude: 3000m
Time : May 2012

It looks like an Empusidae sp but the only one i know of is Empusa pennata and i'm not sure of it's distribution within Iran or if indeed it occurs there at all.

Unfortunately i do not know of anybody who is a considered expert or otherwise regarding this genus and maybe your best bet is to see if anyone else on here picks it up.
