Solitary bee house mysteries (1 Viewer)

Sparrow or Crow?
Hello

I have a bee hotel (as they called it, not me) and I would like to know what is going on please.

I have found a bee working hard but was not near enough to picture it and it has left what you can see in pic 1

I also found some unrelated eggs (pic 2) and I wondered if anyone could say what sort of species one can expect from them

I am asking a massive ask at this point, but any pointers would be great, worst comes to worst, I can also take some eggs and incubate in the case of pic two and see what comes about.

Many thanks
