Celestron 102mm Wide View (1 Viewer)

I'm very new to the world of Spotting Scopes and therefore have started on a very limited budget.

After reading through this forum (and many others) I have placed an order for the following Celestron

http://www.celestron.com/c3/product.php?CatID=30&ProdID=206 :t:

It's available for £150 from lots of Internet Shops and I'm hoping it is a very capable piece of kit. I'm going to match it with a Velbon CX-460 mini tripod (again a sa starting point) because most of my ovseravtion will be from the prone position.

Hi Grigio, While not WP and somewhat heavy, I know of a lot of people that have started out with one of Celestron short tubes. They also use them for Astronomy.I have a Celestron 80ED "spotter" just like this except I use a mirror diagonal.

I also have a Nikon 20-45x60mm Fieldscope for more portability.
I forgot to say welcome to BirdForum. You can just click on edit box to fix your spelling mistakes. That is what I just did to add this.
Regards,Steve
