Just received a gx7 and 45-175mm lens. I wasn't expecting anything any good so very pleasantly surprised. I've had a 100-300 in the past and didn't like it. The EVF is still not really good enough for birding ( IMHO) but they're definitely getting there !
I'm just waiting impatiently for new 300mm prime and then I might get an EM-1 to go with it .
Marsh harrier is quite a heavy crop as well .

I like those pix. I wonder if you somehow had a lemon in the 100-300, I think it should be able to do similar to these photos.

I tried the oly 75-300 and from what I read now, it's soft at 300 which is of course where I use it. I will try the panasonic and see what happens.
