The bird per the attached picture was seen in the Ranscombe Farm Reserve, Cuxton, Kent. I am inclined to Chiffchaff (the dark legs/feet) but am not convinced. Help please. Many thanks in advance.

IMO Willow Warbler. The feet, at least are pale, the bill lacks an extensive dark tip to the lower mandible, the eyering looks continuous ( broken and bolder on the lower half in Chiffchaff), what I can make out of the supercillium looks too broad and the earcoverts aren't particularly dark against the sides of the neck.

Dear Chris:

You are very kind. I was hovering between dark and light legs; it was a very sunny day. Your comprehensive reply is very much appreciated. It will help me in future identification attempts.

Thanks very much .....
