Latest update from the BTO: Scottish bird indicators highlight decline in upland birds


Today the Scottish Terrestrial Bird Indicator has been published, using the latest results from the BTO Breeding Bird Survey. These wild bird indicators are used as proxies for the health of wildlife in the wider countryside. Today's results highlight the contrasting fortunes of declining upland and increasing woodland bird populations.
