Picture Taken 09/03/05 In Glenview Illinois. The Full Eye Ring And Yellow Front Tell Me Nashville. The First Picture Is Blurry And Second Has A Leaf In Front Of Head, But Should Be Enough For Id.

Hello,

The long undertail coverts, short tail and stocky build point to the warbler genus Oppornis. The bill is too heavy for a Nashville. The full eyering and brownish hooded appearance make me think Connecticut Warbler, an unusual bird. The full eyering (no breaks) and the dull yellow underparts don't fit Mourning Warbler. Nice find and pictures!
