Hi
I've just downloaded 'BirdSongid' by Isoperla from the Apple Store to run on my iPhone and iPad. It has an automatic recognition function which enables you to record a bird song or call which is analysed by the app and which then gives a list of birds with a percentage probability against each. This only works for 36 birds at the moment and is still in its early stages of development. I haven't had a chance to test it in the field yet, not the best time of year really, but it looks quite useful. I have found bird songs very difficult to make serious progress on despite having a range of recordings in the usual apps (Collins, N Euro Birds, Waites and Chirp!) and am hopeful that this will fill a gap.
