Southern Spain, 23-27 September (1 Viewer)

A quick visit to Spain to see what was passing over to Africa.

The town nearest to where I was staying was Estepona, between Malaga and Gibraltar.

Not a great deal was seen that could be identified on the drive down but in the Puerto de la Duquesa area on the first day were:

PS Many thanks to the Spanish birdwatchers who alerted us to the Slender-billed Gull flying with the Sandwich Terns! A second positive experience of our Spanish friends after last year when we alerted to the Lesser Crested Tern in amongst a flock of Gull-billed Terns.

Hi Rob, thanks for posting: interesting to see your record of Lesser Short-toed Lark at Casares. Whereabouts was this? It's a bird more usually associated with the Rivers further north and the Coto Donana...
