Kumlien's Gull? China (1 Viewer)

My friend taken this gull on March 14 at Hunchun, Jilin province, which is very close to the Sea of Japan.
Is it a second-winter Kumlien's Gull or just a Glaucous Gull hybrids?
If it is a Kumlien's Gull, it must be the first record of China.
Only two images
Thank you very much!

Bill looks rather heavy and whole head looks like a really large gull (also compare with Glaucous on #2). IMO black in wing is also too solid for Kumliens. So I'd vote for Hybrid Glaucous.

i agree, it's not a thayer's gull, and i tend to agree on a hybrid with the participation of glaucous gull, on overall paleness and bill cololur. maybe it is hyperboreus x schistisagus. seems to show a diffuse 'mirror' on p10 and the bird seems to be a late 2nd cycle (3cy).
