Hi,

Need help with a Tern or two. First one was a little guy and on the forehead was a white triangle, that's a least right?

Second I got a picture of, it was large like the Laughing Gulls around. Not trying to make size comparison just stating it was gull-like in size. I don't have a guess on this one as I'm terrible with terns but only thing that popped in my mind was Caspian but I'm not even sure of the range and what not haha

Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch,
Matt

#1, probably a Least Tern.

#2 (picture), a Royal Tern. It has the white forehead characteristic of this species for most of the year.

First sounds like a Least.
The second is a Royal Tern IMHO. White forehead, orangey-bill, less dark on under-primaries, short leg-projection and deep cleft (forked) tail, compared to similar sized Caspian.
