Pigeon with banded leg and blue forehead, Huntington Beach, California (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I am new to the forum and I don't have a bird of my own. But I'm curious about this pigeon that has made my horse's barn aisle its home.

It's white with a patch of brown on its shoulder blade area. It's body shape is different from the typical barn pigeon. Its also very mellow and not very afraid of humans. In addition, it doesn't make nests and walks more than flies.

It has a distinct ellow band and blue mark on its forehead. Does anybody familiar with birds know what type of pigeon this is and what the band and blue mark mean?

Interesting, thanks for the response. It's been hanging around the barn aisle since June and doesn't appear to be injured and seems to be doing ok. Do you suggest for us boarders to let it be? No one is bothered by the bird and I've seen it defend itself and territory against the pigeons.
