Hi dear friends.
This Lark was seen on Aug 2, at Masai Mara NR, Kenya.
Is it a Fawn-coloured Lark?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think it can be a Fawn-coloured (now Foxy or Abyssinian) Lark, because it doesn't have a dark line between the eye and the bill (the black line behind the eye doesn't continue through the eye to the bill). I think it might be one of the seven races of Rufous-naped Lark, but I'm no expert and I hope someone who is will come along and take a look.

I agree it looks like a Rufous-naped, but I've no idea what the options are in Kenya.

Hi.
Thank you for your help. you are right. I had not paid attention to the "lore" .
By those keys, we have rufous-naped, red-winged and flappet larks in Kenya.
As you mentioned, Rufouse-naped best suites with the bird according to distribution and other ID keys, like long bill, pale buffy supercillium and white throat.

Special thanks
