Of interest to British birders they have split the Bean Geese and also recognise Caspian and Yellow-legged gulls as separate species. BOU ?

The word on the street is that both Caspian and American Herring Gull is about to be split by the Brits.
A paper has been prepared and was in the process being proof read.

Other snippets are BBRC are to do a revue of Royal Tern and Redhead.
