well, I could say to you that the bird is lightweight as opposed to being a powerfully built Peregrine but then you could argue that you think it's powerfully built .... that's subjectivity for ya ... furthermore, I can see the small white mark above the eye (albeit not very well but I can make it out), the bill isn't particularly heavy, it's merely in proportion with the rest of the bird ... the moustachial streak is well in line with Hobby, Peregrines can almost look hooded as a consequence of a very full moustachial streak running back into dark upper cheeks and the rear of the head, also, the small white intrusion to the rear of the eye (typically Hobby) .... the breast streaking is totally fine for Hobby, nice and fine at the top and becoming bolder and heavier as it progresses down toward the breast etc ... as for the slight ruuset tones hear n there, again not problem for Hobby, particularly if it's a sub-adult (which I suspect) .... habitat is also a pointer (though nothing more I agree) ie coniferous .... and to add I have been working with and observing Peregrines intimately on a near-daily basis for 3 years, and see many Hobbys during the course of the year ... visited a nice nest-site this year (at a respectful range of course) ... but more than anything else it's 'Gizz' screams Hobby ... however, I'm not particularly out to convince anyone what it is, that's for you to decide in your own way...the same way I have
