What type of thrush? (1 Viewer)

A very basic question to which I have had contradictory answers. Is this a mistle thrush or a song thrush. Very territorial and makes a horrible racket.Hungry thrush.jpg
 
Thanks, I thought it might be but was told it was a song thrush. Anyway it is providing me with endless entertainment as it chases any other bird that dares to look at food in the garden.
 
I don't think it's possible to judge just by the spots as said in many books, Song Thrush=arrowshaped and Mistle Thrush round spots. But, to me the Mistle Thrsuh have a "meaner" look and colder grey colours, whilst the ST looks nice and with a warmer colour-tone.

it is normal for thrushes to be very territorial, it's when they are not you should be getting worried, my resident blackbird is chasing off the 7 or 8 other birds that have been visiting recently and the flocks of redwings are giving him a hard timre to

That behaviour is also typical of Mistle.
