Hi Cheerful,

These pictures brought back a funny memory of a visit of mine to the Yucatan peninsula a few years back. One of the hotels at Chichen Itza featured bird photos in each of the rooms. Mine room was graced with the same species as your third image. Rather than labeled Great-tailed Grackle, the image of the female Quiscalus mexicanus was titled Golden brown Perching Bird. That pretty much sums it up!
