return of the wailers

heard the first returning stone curlew calling on evening of 17th whilst stood in back garden, in Weeting village (not Heath).

I had a Willow Warbler on Hampstead Heath today. I know probably have the dubious distinction of being the only UK birder with Willow Warbler but not Chiffchaff on their year list.

First Chiffchaff in West Kent yesterday. There is always one in th same copse at the end of my road. Several more singing in area today.

Today - Baillon's Crake in Co. Wexford; Alpine Swifts in Co. Clare and Outer Hebrides; Black Kite in Co. Wicklow; Woodchat Shrike in Co. Waterford; 2 Hoopoes on Isles of Scilly plus others in Cornwall and Devon; Richard's Pipit in Dorset; Sedge Warbler in Kent; Whitethroat in Cumbria;
