I'd thought thta my Diapherodes gigantea was already adult until I found that she'd shed another skin:

oh WOW!!!!!! Now that is a stick insect :-O

I've got a couple of the Indian Stick Insects and they are reaching full-size now. Bought them as hubby had never seen them or kept them when he was a child. He thinks they're fascinating :t:

I'll have to get him one of those biggies ;) And NOT tell him how big they get! :-O
