Optician MM 3 50 ED (1 Viewer)

Recently acquired the above scope with the SDL eyepiece (12-36x). For its small size and weight this is an astonishingly good scope. I had intended it to be just used for travel, but I think that it will provide some serious competition for my Kowa 88 mm as and everyday scope.

I have had similar experience with my MM3 60. I wanted it for portability and field use, but even at home I'm using it rather than my 76mm APO.

I concur! I purchased the Opticron MM3 50 w/SDL v2 for a trip to NZ in 2016, it fit in my carry-on with room to spare for binocs & camera. Along with a Sirui CF travel scope, it weighs svelte 4 lbs. The image quality seems as good as my Vortex Razor. I'm tempted to pick up the MM4 60 also, for when I want a little more reach, but don't want to haul my 8lb 85mm scope & tripod.
