still Waxy days- 40 round the back of Smithfield Market today and only my trusty blackberrycam to hand - not quite up to User's mobilphoto skills, but gets the essence

oops- away from the easel for a week and already spiralling down the second page

here's beginnings of the next project, view is from exactly the same place as the short-eared owl pic I inflicted on y'all a couple of weeks ago, but this time facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction and looking up the ditch inside the sea wall

I'm trying a new (but I suspect not novel) technique of actually working out where the bird will be and drawing it in when I start

No comment til finished...

Crack on old boy....;)

So there I was walking along the main street in Kirkwall when out of 'The Reel' strolls a birdy-mate - David Edgar (coincidentally a lawyer). Glancing down I notice a filthy bird-porn mag under his arm and adorning the cover is a riot of action and colour which seems immediately familiar to me; "That's f*cking Kebble's f*cking waxwings" I eloquently announce. And indeed it was - in all its glory.
Well done Ed - 'Birding World' has never looked so juicily enticing as it does this month!!!
:t:B :)

Now that's great news...where it belongs too I say...

Eloquently put passage by Tim made me smirk...

Congrats Ed. Befitting of your talent and delighted to see this piece out in front of a wide audience...

Great stuff, Ed! How refreshing to see great art on the covers of journals instead of photos for a change. Bravo!

Russ
