TS 107/700 triplet (1 Viewer)

One other thing: I spend a lot of time watching through the camera and scope, waiting for the right moment to take a picture. The D7000 has a very bright and clear VF, in fact, brighter that the D600 I just tried out by quite a bit. The times I looked at an E-M5 I found my eye getting tired very quickly. So I wonder how much of a strain prolonged periods of watching would tire my eye and the battery.

I don't have any problems with the EVF. In fact, I like it better than a OVF because it is WYSIWYG. It is a bit like the Live View feature on a DSLR except it reacts much faster and is not affected by the sun. Also, it is nice to be able to magnify and stabilize the image to focus.

Of course, the OVF on the Pro DSLRs are very nice but the one on the OM-1 is said to be as good. IMO, the one on the OM-5 is on par with the semi-pro DSLRs like the Canon 7D.

Have a good day
Jules
