Hey, I don't have a lot of book smarts on photography, but I love it. I am about to invest in a Nikon DSLR D70 which comes with their 18-70mm AF lense. I wanted to also invest in a high zoom or telephoto lense but realized I had a Celestron 60-1000mm (20-60x) Spotting Scope from a few years back. It was about a $250 scope that I was able to get down to $30 on a closeout sale. It came with a T-Ring adapter, and supposedly all I'd need to get is a t-ring for my nikon and I could take pictures with it. Does this actually work? Would I be getting good quality images of both landscapes and celestial? Is this all I need or does it need to be coupled with another lense? Would I be better off in just investing in an actual lense?
Any help would be appreciated as I don't know much what I'm talking about! Thanks a lot for your time
